Hunting Sitatunga in Uganda
For more than 100 years Uganda has been called “the pearl of Africa“ by many explorers, and it truly is very special. This beautiful East African country is one of Africa’s friendliest, safest and most secure countries in all of Africa and also the most beautiful lush and green countries on the African Continent.
We were privileged to hunt Sitatunga in an area that has the highest population, which I have ever seen. Follow us on an exciting hunt for Sitatunga, or the ghost of the swamp. This medium-sized antelope is highly specialized for a semi-aquatic lifestyle, spending the greater part of its life in papyrus swamps of Africa. The most obvious adaptation to their swampy environment is their long hooves, which enable them to stand and walk on floating islands of vegetation.
